Final piece for my art residency @princessbermuda

I was invited by the Green foundation to spend two weeks in Bermuda. After a week of exploring this beautiful island, both on land and sea, and engaging with the local culture, I set out to create my final piece: a large painting directly onto the walls of the Hamilton Princess, surrounded by an extraordinary art collection.

What struck me during my time here were the ever-changing elements. The serene turquoise waters, juxtaposed with fierce, surreal storms set to high pitched frequency evening sounds of tiny tree frogs. The dynamic cloud formations were captivating and I began to describe them as ‘Ghost Clouds’, more like spirits passing over the Island. The elements became the backdrop and the heart of my piece. I wanted to capture the island’s essence, the warm, friendly, laidback people and to celebrate the Island’s rhythm and natural beauty.

Thanks for the opportunity and providing the space to create and experiment. Special thanks to Diarmaid and Makenzie for making my stay unforgettable. What an experience!
