Southbank Centre - Royal Festival Hall - Migration South Show

04 | 06 | 2013

Our 'Migration South' show is now open for members in the members area - level 6 Royal Festival Hall. 'Migration South' is a retrospective exhibition. The works on display are from our 'Flower Show' series and our recent 'Diverse Elements' show. The title piece from the show 'Migration South' has been commissioned especially for the Southbank Centre and is part of the show.

The show runs from May – November 2013.

Discover the inspiration behind Kai and Sunny's work and celebrate the launch of 'Migration South', commissioned especially for Southbank Centre Membership.

This artwork is the title piece of this Migration South retrospective exhibition in the Members Bar. You can also see this artwork in the latest Membership packs, print materials and on the website. The works on display are from Kai and Sunny's Flower Show series and their recent Diverse Elements show. Kai and Sunny are a multidisciplinary duo whose work appears in many artistic contexts. Their intricate, natural and sometimes sinister style has led them to collaborate with Alexander McQueen. It has won them numerous accolades including a 2012 D&AD Design Award, and book covers with author David Mitchell.

The artists have exhibited internationally, showing at Haunch Of Venison London, and have recently been included in the Victoria & Albert Museum print archive collection. The duo are currently exploring natural forms with large-scale monotone works through print making.
